Praharraj Foundation is a non-governmental and non-profit organization committed to the inclusive development of society and building a brighter future. The foundation works with the vision of creating a self-reliant, empowered, and progressive society through continuous social initiatives.

The organization focuses on social upliftment by working in key areas such as education, women empowerment, awareness, and skill development. Through its efforts, Praharraj Foundation aims to create a strong identity in society and bring meaningful and sustainable change.

The name “Praharraj” itself symbolizes leadership and positive action, reflecting the organization’s mission to drive impactful change at the grassroots level.

Role of NGO Positions

(1.) Member / Volunteer:

Any Indian citizen aged 18 or above can become a member of Prahar Raj Foundation by filling out the membership form and paying the required fee. Membership rules for foreign citizens will be decided by the National Executive Committee. Each membership is valid for five years but may end earlier due to resignation, death, or removal. A member cannot be registered in more than one location at the same time. For relocation, prior written or email approval from the concerned district or state unit is required. Members are expected to stay connected with their area and support community welfare activities actively.

(2.) Active Member (AM):

An Active Member is one who has completed at least one year with the organization and actively participated in a minimum of five programs. The recognition of an Active Member is granted at the tehsil level based on their friendly behavior and engagement with the community. The member should maintain essential data of their area, including voter lists, people living below the poverty line, illiterate individuals, women, and those working outside the region. They must also keep records of total households and population. Additionally, the member should build connections with local religious leaders and honor them respectfully.

(3.) Dedicated Member (DM):

A Dedicated Member is one who has served as an Active Member for at least one year. They must have successfully led a minimum of three programs in any specific area of the organization. Participation in at least five meetings is required. During their tenure as an Active Member, they should have enrolled at least 10 new members into the organization. The selection and approval for the Dedicated Member role will be decided by the Tehsil Executive Committee. Additionally, they should promote the Prahar Raj Education App and website and connect with 2–3 members of local Self Help Groups, encouraging them to join.

(4.) Honored Member (HM):

A member who has served as a Dedicated Member for at least one year, has independently led a minimum of five meetings, enrolled at least twenty members during active tenure, and organized at least two programs entirely at their own level.

Honorary Member Responsibilities: This is the highest membership role. All programs operate under their supervision. They must submit annual reports of members to the tehsil executive, participate in tehsil activities, maintain expenses and bills, build social and administrative relations, stay connected with workers, support community events, encourage enrollments, assist student admissions, and manage official WhatsApp groups.

(5.) Part-Time Volunteers (PVT):

The individuals who contribute to social service alongside their studies, jobs, or personal responsibilities. They do not work full-time but dedicate a few hours weekly or days monthly to support activities. These volunteers, including students, professionals, homemakers, and retirees, play a vital role in strengthening both the organization and society. Their involvement helps create positive change while offering opportunities for skill development, experience, and networking. Their contributions include teaching underprivileged children, assisting in health awareness programs, supporting events, managing digital tasks, conducting community outreach, and helping in fundraising and donation campaigns.

(6.) Women’s Cell:

The Women’s Cell promotes active participation of women in decision-making and leadership through trainings, workshops, and seminars at grassroots levels. It ensures women’s representation in organizational activities and spreads awareness about constitutional and legal rights. Skill development programs such as tailoring, beauty, handicrafts, computer, and digital marketing are organized. It connects women to self-employment opportunities, government schemes, and local industries. The cell conducts health camps, mental wellness, and self-defense training in coordination with authorities. It raises awareness on social issues, supports distressed women, builds networks, shares success stories, and ensures a safe, respectful, and empowering environment.

(7.) Tehsil Committee and Team:

The Tehsil Executive has authority to define roles such as Treasurer, In-charge, Village Head, Media Head, Coordinator, Advisor, Planner, Patron, Motivator, Representative, Women’s Wing, and Support Staff. It ensures smooth program execution, maintains member coordination, resolves grievances, and submits annual reports to the district. It works under the Tehsil President, ensuring accountability, public awareness, and timely meetings. The committee coordinates with local bodies, NGOs, and higher authorities, manages membership data, and organizes key events and campaigns. It promotes education, women empowerment, and social welfare, conducts outreach activities, supports public issues, disaster relief, and ensures planned implementation of all organizational initiatives.

(8.) District Committee and Team:

The District Executive ensures coordination with tehsil units through meetings, reports, and monitoring programs. It has authority to form committees, ensure proper execution, and maintain harmony with administration and stakeholders. It promotes women’s participation, appoints advisors, legal experts, and social media heads, and prepares project reports for funding and CSR. The executive conducts elections, maintains membership targets, issues ID cards, and ensures renewals. It organizes social, educational, health, and employment programs while staying politically neutral. Disciplinary actions follow due process. It also builds coordination, prepares annual plans, supports government initiatives, and strengthens organizational structure, communication, and public trust.

(9.) State Committee and Team:

The State Executive oversees statewide structure, approves district units, and monitors activities. It publishes an annual magazine, action plan, and calendar, highlighting achievements and future goals. It conducts review meetings, compiles reports, and coordinates with the National Executive. Responsibilities include training, evaluation, dispute resolution, financial review, and maintaining digital records. It promotes partnerships with government, NGOs, and CSR bodies, ensures neutrality, and handles public grievances, media, and disaster response. It organizes awards, scholarships, health initiatives, and conferences, supports district resources, ensures transparency in elections, ranks district performance, and strengthens communication and outreach across the state.

(10.) National Committee and Team:

 The National Executive supervises all states, manages membership drives, verification, and organizational policies. It forms and approves state structures, fills vacancies, and sets national plans, goals, and calendars. With a three-year tenure, it conducts elections, meetings, and national conferences. It ensures training, leadership development, dispute resolution, and performance evaluation. Responsibilities include managing media, digital platforms, publications, finances, and fundraising through CSR and donors. It coordinates with government, international bodies, and stakeholders, promotes transparency, and maintains records. It handles national helplines, policy drafting, research, and large-scale programs while strengthening branding, outreach, and organizational growth.

(11.) Treasurer:

 The Treasurer is responsible for managing the financial health of the NGO. They oversee budgeting, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure transparency in all transactions. Duties include monitoring income and expenses, preparing financial reports, and presenting them to the board. The Treasurer ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, manages bank accounts, and supervises audits. They also assist in fundraising planning, track donations, and ensure proper utilization of funds. By maintaining financial discipline and accountability, the Treasurer plays a key role in building trust and supporting the organization’s sustainable growth.

(12.) Advisor:

Advisors in an NGO are experienced, often retired or senior individuals who provide guidance, insights, and strategic suggestions. They support decision-making by sharing their knowledge, professional expertise, and life experience. Advisors help in planning programs, resolving challenges, and improving organizational effectiveness. They may mentor team members, strengthen networks, and suggest innovative ideas for growth and sustainability. Although not involved in daily operations, their role is crucial in shaping long-term vision and policies. Their wisdom, neutrality, and practical understanding help the organization maintain stability, credibility, and achieve its social objectives effectively.

(13.) Head of Department (HOD):

The HOD leads specific departments such as Education, Women Empowerment, Awareness, and Skill Development. They plan, implement, and monitor programs aligned with organizational goals. Responsibilities include designing projects, managing teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring effective execution of activities. They promote education, women’s rights, and awareness on social, health, environmental, and career issues. HODs also organize training programs to enhance skills and employability. They prepare reports, evaluate performance, and suggest improvements. By ensuring quality, impact, and community engagement, HODs play a key role in achieving sustainable development and strengthening the organization’s mission.

 

(11.) Treasurer:
